In “You Lose the Fight,” Varosh Santanamiguel transforms the carnival into a battleground of will and surrender. Inspired by the lyrics of Don’t Look Back | Come With Me, this image pulses with control, tension, and dangerous elegance. The night bends. The shadows obey. The rules are his.
Perched upon meadowWorks’ Zebra Rocker, he becomes both performer and predator. The stark black-and-white stripes slice through the darkness like a hypnotist’s spiral, pulling you deeper into the spectacle. Around him, hearts bleed crimson, roses bloom like wounds, and glimmering sparks float through the air like remnants of a shattered illusion.
His boots blaze with a red glow that feels almost alive, casting an industrial heat against the carnival’s velvet gloom. Gold arrows and thorned roses frame him like a crown earned through conquest, while his blindfolded gaze suggests something far more powerful than sight. In this ring, he does not need to see. He commands.
Midnight Carnival has always promised dreams. But here, we see the other side of the promise. The grip tightens. The door closes. The music lowers to a whisper only he controls.
This is not the circus of innocence. This is the circus of dominance. A stage where no light survives unless he allows it.
