The flame that sleeps within us is kin to the flame that flies.
“Where did the dragons go?” by Honey Gladsong
O hearth of the old world, awaken thine eye,
And behold—one who bears the mark of flame and fang.
In this realm where dragons once ruled the skies openly,
And their wings could blot the sun with shadowed grace,
They walk among us still, veiled in scaled skin and ancient sigils,
The whisper of fire ever beneath their touch.
Honey Gladsong’s incandescent portrait asks a question carved from legend and soot: “Where did the dragons go?” And with a gaze both mournful and resolute, they answer, “They never left, just got better at hiding.”
And so, they stand—guardian or perhaps a dragon themself adorned with the Mark of Draconis by K9NNOR, not mere tattoo, but a cipher of their soul – a sigil inked in molten gold, tracing the path of forgotten bloodlines.
From their back rise the dark leathern Daemon Wings by Geek; in restless twitch and curve, their shadows echo long-lost kin. In their grip, a relic of war and fate – the Dragon Slayers sword by GLEAM Grotto, forged for battle, yet now wielded not in vengeance, but as symbol, perhaps, of the dragon’s right to rise again.
By their side, a creature both steed and kin, the noble horse made draconic by the Bronze Drake coat by CORN. Scales shimmer along its flank, an earthly echo of the skyward wyrms, its mane dark as volcanic glass, eyes deep with memory.
Next to them, so close it would burn a mere human, burns a brazier, where egg and ember lie entwined.
This is no ordinary fire – it is Raindale’s Sunflare Brazier, a treasure of the Enchantment Hunt; where dragon eggs, not yet hatched, sleep warm beneath flame. What dreams do they dream? What skies do they remember?
