“And as the captains gazed south to the Land of Mordor, it seemed to them that, black against the pall of cloud, there rose a huge shape of shadow, impenetrable, lightning-crowned, filling all the sky. Enormous it reared above the world, and stretched out towards them a vast threatening hand, terrible but impotent: for even as it leaned over them, a great wind took it, and it was all blown away, and passed; and then a hush fell.”
― The Return of the King
Today’s Image of the Day is by artist Blu Moonwall. The darkness looms over the earth. Seeping from the dark land of Mordor comes those abominations and monsters only nightmares could produce. Blu’s image is dark and foreboding doom. The fire just pulls you in and the composition is just stunning. It brings out the wonder and fear that lies within the darkness. This is a fierce piece of art Blu! Lovely work. Enchantment is now open! This round our inspiration is from J.R.R Tolkien’s Lord of The Rings. The Lost Unicorn gallery’s photo contest has begun! Rules are HERE. Contest at midnight March 3rd.
