Photo Of the Day

But you were never able to keep me breathing…

Of mermaids’ doleful game in deep water I heard tell – Robert Graves

Image of the Day: “Keep Me Breathing” by Honey Gladsong As the water rises up again before I slip away

Today’s Enchantment Image of the Day drags us deep into the shadowed waters of Nevermore, where beauty and danger entwine in a fatal embrace. In this haunting tableau, a siren’s shimmer meets the grip of stone and fury—the Muck mermaid tail applier by Krature glimmers like midnight spun into silk, every finstroke a whisper of temptation. Yet no song can soften the crushing hold of Harshlands’ Werewolf Statue, a beast carved from nightmare, its claws wrapped around them with a devotion as merciless as the tide. The scene glows with bioluminescent promise, but each light is a lure, each bubble a fleeting prayer. Here, in the Nevermore round, allure and doom are inseparable: the siren’s elegance is amplified by the very jaws that would claim them. Like moonlight on a wolf’s snarl, like a jewel sinking beneath dark waves, this image reminds us that in Nevermore, every treasure gleams brightest when set against peril….

Thank you, Honey, for taking us into the deep. As the Nevermore round continues, “Keep Me Breathing” invites us to swim in dark waters for a little bit longer.
